Delhi Public school, MRPL Mangalore is an English Medium School with its syllabus affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi. The school is established with the name MRPL School on 01.07.1996 in Bala village in Mangalore of Karnataka State.
Delhi Public School Society, New Delhi registered vide Reg. No. 361/S under the Societies Registration Act 1860 has taken over MRPL School and in collaboration with MRPL Education Trust (Regd), Registered under the Indian Trust Act,1882 started DELHI PUBLIC SCHOOL, MRPL Mangalore in the year 2009.
Delhi Public School Society manages 11 Core Schools and 106 Schools in the country, in addition to the 14 Schools abroad.
There are 1185 students on roll this year. The school provides ample opportunities for realisation of individual potential and development of abilities and interest for the full flowering of pupils personality
With a motto of "Service Before Self" DPS endeavours to impart quality Education to the young budding talents of Mangalore. We are indeed grateful to all those who are responsible in starting the DPS movement at MRPL Colony, Mangalore.

It aims to impart education to all without distinction of caste and creed, especially the educational needs of the locality. The School is imparting education for the all round development and helps each child to be catalysts of social change-brining about justice, liberation, progress and peace in society.
Well qualified, trained and dedicated staff is an asset to the institution. In this academic year there are 62 members of staff – 51 teaching and 11 non-teachings. Listening ears, persuasive tongue, a compassionate heart and a self sacrificing spirit could be great assets in this world. How much we could do to train these in ourselves and in our students! A milestone in its history is the cent percent results our school has achieved for the 17 consecutive year in the “All India Secondary School Examination”.
Teachers Orientation Programmes
Life is full of changes and new challenges. It is our duty to prepare and train the students to face these new challenges. As an organisation of repute and has gone global, Delhi Public School Society organises workshops to train and update its teachers with the changes and latest techniques. These Workshops and Seminars are organised through out the year. DPS Mangalore certainly waits for such opportunities send the teachers for such seminars and workshop apart from organising such workshops exclusively for its teachers.
Students growth and strength
There are 1185 students on roll this year. The institution continue to excel in providing students of calibre to our country, it recognizes its special call of catering to the educational needs of the locality and to break, the feather of ignorance and illiteracy.
The activities of the school have been divided into five heads – Academic, Literacy, Cultural, Physical and Manual (Art & Craft).
Inter – School Activities
Our school has successfully hosted the 2nd Inter–District level Shuttle Badminton & Table Tennis Tournament for CBSE/ICSE schools on the 29th August on the occasion of “National Sports Day” in which 180 students of 11 schools participated with great zeal and enthusiasm. Our school emerged as the proud champion in both Table tennis and Badminton. Every child is a lioness strengthened and inspired by their firm belief, all of us at DPS are striving hard to keep the little lamps of knowledge learning, spreading light to those who enter the portals of this institution.
